Double Eye Transplant

Poor Baby Ghost lost her second eye this past week.  All week Graysen has been saying, "All I want for my birthday is for Baby Ghost to get a new eye."  Lee also found him crying and yelling the other night when "Baby" was missing saying, "She's my girl."  So, Baby Ghost underwent surgery this morning.  I have to say, she looks beautiful with her new eye.  Although the new one is navy, not black, I think that it is an overall improvement.  Maybe Lee should look into a career of stuffed animal plastic surgery.

Happy 5th Birthday, Graysen!

My precious 'lil baby turned 5 this past Saturday!  I can't believe it!  We had a very fun day celebrating his birthday.  Here are a few pictures from our day:

The day started at Krispy Kreme, followed by a trip to Toys R Us.  (Note:  The boys are in full ninja mode, as usual.)

Ahhh...  The coveted Ninjago isle.  Caleb and Graysen have been OBSESSED with Ninjago for the past year.  It is by far their favorite thing and they spend 80% of their waking hours in ninja mode.

As is tradition in our family, the birthday person gets to pick where to go for dinner.  Graysen picked Mr. Gatti's, a pizza buffet and arcade.

Everyone was excited to find a Fruit Ninja game!  The boys' fascination with fruit ninja started this past month when I found Fruit Ninja fruit snacks at the grocery store and brought them home.  I bought them because they had the word "ninja" in them.  Of course, the boys fell in love.  They say that the fruit snacks turn them into ninjas and it was the first time that I was honored with the title of sensi.  Little did I know that Fruit Ninja is a popular mobile phone game.

Overall, a very fun day celebrating my special little boy!

Collection Complete!

Caleb's quarter collection is complete!  He received the template for his 6th birthday and has been working on it diligently ever since.  By this past summer, he had collected all of the quarters except for two, Wisconsin and American Samoa.  They evaded him all fall.  A generous benefactor donated these final two quarters to him this past week.  The boys are very happy that their collection is now complete.

Middle of Winter

The boys and I have settled into a routine for the winter.  It mainly consists of school, homework, and gym.

This time of year is always quiet and we do not have a lot happening, so I haven't been posting.  The next big event will be Graysen's birthday in a few weeks.  I can't believe that he is going to be 5!
