Graysen is here!

Graysen Meyer Slusher arrived at 8:46 a.m. this morning, weighing 6 pounds and 7 ounces (well below Laura's prediction of 11 pounds). We have only been able to spend a few minutes with him so far, but he seems to be very active, opening and closing his eyes and sucking on his pacifier. He checked out to be healthy, other than his heart issue, and is breathing well on his own. The pediatric cardiologists are going to be running tests on him for the next few hours to determine what treatments and/or surgeries will be necessary. We'll post more information as it becomes available.

Congrats! First of all...Gary is upset that he didn't get a phone call early this morning, you'll have to resolve that with him. He's quite upset. Make sure to keep us posted. We would prefer phone calls to blog postings. Speaking of that, can we get some more pictures on this thing?!

P.S. Will trade Karen for Graysen. Let us know.

P.S. #2: Next time Debbie is walking alone down the NICU somebody should pull the "baby snatcher" alarm and watch her run...just a thought...
