Today was Caleb's first day of 3K at District Six's Child Development Center. Caleb was VERY excited about going to school. He was an angel all morning and got dressed, brushed his teeth, and posed for a photo shoot with enthusiasm.Caleb's class is a visual/literature based program. Everything in the class is visual. A few months ago, Caleb got to pick his symbol that would represent him. He choose a purple dinosaur. Everything of Caleb's in the class (cubby, chair, snack cup, coat hanger, etc...) is labeled with a purple dinosaur. Alisha was really sweet and made Caleb a special purple dinosaur shirt for his first day. He LOVES his shirt and knows that he is the purple dinosaur. He was very excited to wear it and go to school. He went right into the building this morning and didn't even look back. Mommy was the one who was a little sad.
On the other hand, Graysen has been VERY mopey and sad this morning. He doesn't know what to do with himself without his buddy.

I use a purple dinosaur as my personal symbol as well.
I am glad Caleb was excited to go to school. I love his shirt. Does he have one for every day? Hope you don't have a struggle on your hands tomorrow when you wants to wear it again.
What a big boy! What are you ard Graysen going to do all day? He looks so happy. Can't wait to hear how it went.
Tell Caleb we are so proud of him. We are sure his first day was a success. Also tell him dinosaurs have always been a favorite with Aunt Dolores. Uncle Bob and Alaine and I went to the zoo last Saturday to see "Dinosaurs Alive", life size dinosaurs that move and roar. It was great. Give Graysen and Caleb a big kiss and hug from us. Glad to see Caleb got into the program. Let me know how it goes. I just put Charlie on the pre-k bus (school started yesterday) and Hannah is asleep. YAY!
